The Month of February will see the running of the Maiden 1000 over 460m with the heats conducted on the 13th & the Final the following week the 20th. Nominations for this race will close on Tuesday 9th Feb at 8.30 am. Due to the racing calender & the suitable availability of race dates in February, it is unfortunate that this year sees a clash of events. The Maiden Final is to be held the same week as the heats of the Young Guns. Trainers will have to choose as to which is the better option for their hound. Either race for the $1000 in the Maiden series or wait the week & enter the Young Guns for the chance at $2500. Heats for the Yound Guns will be held on the 20th Feb & is open to all greyhounds 30 months or younger at the time of nominations closing, which will be on Tuesday 16th Feb.

READY FOR THE NEW YEAR !!!!
With all work now complete & with the XMAS meeting run & won with the new cable lure, we are now kicking off the New Year with a full 10 race program with 4 heats of the New Years Cup for 4th & 5th Grade greyhounds. It is good to see some Brisbane trainers making the trek north & I think this will be a common occurance in weeks & months to come.
Dont foregt owners & trainers it wont be long before we have our first Maiden 1000 & Young Guns for 2010, which commences in February. Enquire at the office or call 4152 2033 for trial times.
Santa pays us a visit & has 'Goodies' for all the kids. Greyhound of the Year 'Back Page' wins the 2009 XMAS Cup.

The Bundaberg Greyhound Racing Club would like to sincerely thank all those that were involved with the implementation of the new cable lure system. To all the board members, Kerry Watson, Paul Felgate, Chris Williams & David Stitt who have put their faith in our club, to Bevan & Noel, & his two helpers who did all of the work, for manufacturing this great product and all those from the club that helped out with the painting of the rail.
It is up the club & its members to now rally together & keep the mommentum going and build on this platform we have been given and make this an even better place to race than it was before.
